Blockwatch shows public MinerWars statistics and sends optional notifications. We collect as little as possible and never sell data.
What the app stores
- The MinerWars player you choose (a public player number and name) and your clan, so we can show your results.
- Your settings: energy efficiency (W/TH), maintenance discount and alert choices. These stay on your phone and, if you turn on notifications, on our server so alerts match your settings.
- A push notification token, only if you allow notifications. It lets us send alerts to your phone. You can turn notifications off at any time.
- A random install number created by the app, used to limit spam when sending feedback. It is not linked to your identity.
- Feedback you send: your message, the app version, the screen you were on, your chosen player number, and an email address only if you type one in.
Optional Apple account and private backup
If you choose Sign in with Apple, we store a pseudonymous Apple account identifier and an encrypted Apple authorization token to manage your sign-in. We do not request your name or email. Private backup is optional: Back up this phone uploads saved payout and accounting records, amounts, dates, notes and price sources. These records are encrypted at rest on our server and access requires your account session. They are not added to public player pages.
After you enable backup or restore, changes sync while the app is open. Sign out stops syncing and keeps local records. Delete account removes the active cloud backup and sign-in connection; local records stay on the phone. Operational database backups may retain encrypted deleted data until their retention period ends. Contact support for removal from retained backups. Anyone with access to a signed-in phone can view its records.
Optional player verification and clan announcements
Apple sign-in alone does not verify a GoMining player. If you choose player verification, we issue a random code and check it in the public alias of the exact player number you selected. Codes expire after 30 minutes. You can restore your original alias after verification. We store the verified link to your Apple account for up to 90 days and check current clan membership and ownership through GoMining's public clan details before granting clan tools.
Clan announcements are public. They include the author's public player name and number, title, message, posting time and pin status. Only the currently verified clan owner can publish or remove announcements. Avoid posting private information. Report inappropriate announcements through the app's feedback form.
Clan announcement notifications are off by default. When you opt in, we link your phone's notification token to your verified player and clan. We check membership before queuing delivery and apply your quiet hours. Subscriptions expire after 30 days without a visit to the clan hub; unlinking your player, signing out successfully on the server, or deleting your account removes them. Already queued notifications may still arrive. Unlinking removes verification but keeps public announcements; deleting your account also removes announcements you authored. Published announcements remain until removed by the current clan owner or the author's account deletion.
Browser extension
The Blockwatch Chrome extension keeps your chosen player number, name, clan, energy efficiency, maintenance discount, display currency and alert choices in the browser's extension storage (Chrome may sync it between your own browsers). To show your numbers it sends your player number, and the efficiency and discount you entered, to our server. Notifications are created inside your browser; the extension uses no notification token, account, analytics or tracking.
Discord bot
If someone adds the Blockwatch bot to a Discord server and runs /blockwatch setup, we store the Discord server (guild) and channel identifiers, the clan chosen, the minimum multiplier and language, and the identifier of the person who ran the command, so we can post that clan's block wins in that channel. We do not read messages, member lists or any other Discord content. /blockwatch stop removes the channel's entry; removing the bot from the server stops posts, and the entry is paused automatically when Discord reports that the bot has no access.
What we do not collect
- No GoMining login, password or account access. Blockwatch never asks for them.
- No location, contacts, photos, advertising identifiers or tracking across other apps or websites.
- No analytics or advertising SDKs.
Where the data comes from
MinerWars statistics come from GoMining's public leaderboards. Prices come from public market sources. Notifications are delivered through Expo's push service and Apple Push Notification service.
How long we keep it
Round and leaderboard history is kept for about 12 weeks. Notification registrations are removed when you turn alerts off, reset the app, or when Apple reports the app was deleted. Feedback is kept until it has been handled.
Your choices
- Turn notifications off in Blockwatch → Me → Alerts, or in iPhone Settings.
- Use Me → Advanced → Reset app to remove your player choice and settings from the phone and our server.
- Ask us to delete anything we hold about you through Me → Guides & feedback → Send feedback.
Children
Blockwatch is not intended for children under 13 and does not knowingly collect their data.
